Talk Out Loud Awards

The Talk Out Loud mental health awareness awards have been launched to recognise the work undertaken by students, schools and colleges in:
  • Increasing awareness of mental health needs, drawing attention to the stigma and discrimination experienced by young people with mental health needs and challenging the negative perceptions of mental health needs
  • Raising awareness amongst their students about mental health issues, stigma and where they can access help and support
We have been humbled by the responsibility that young people have taken in tackling the inequalities and stigma that people with mental health needs experience and we are in no doubt that there will many, many more examples of this from all of the schools taking part during the 2014—2015 academic year. We hope that these awards will give us the opportunity to celebrate some of the fantastic work undertaken by students here in Northamptonshire.
